hi, i'm Sandra Nip
Sandra Nip

I'm a first-year student at UConn. Growing up, money was the one topic nobody in my household wanted to touch.

When I got to campus, I realized how unprepared I was. Taxes, credit scores, budgeting — I had to figure it all out on my own.

So I built the thing I wished existed. Not because I had all the answers, but because I didn't.

The Problem

Financial education ends at high school graduation.
Financial decisions don't

$1.77T

in total U.S. student loan debt, affecting over 43 million borrowers nationwide

76%

of college students say they wish they had more help preparing for their financial futures

38%

of students have skipped buying required course materials due to financial stress

Existing Tools The Gap What Stacked Offers
NGPF / Banzai Content stops at high school. Nothing for loans, credit cards, or campus jobs Lessons built around real college scenarios: first paychecks, meal plans, FAFSA
NerdWallet / Investopedia Walls of text aimed at 30-year-olds with no interactivity or engagement Interactive modules with quizzes, assessments, XP, and decision simulations
University workshops Low attendance, no follow-up, impossible to measure outcomes Always-on platform with admin dashboard tracking completion and performance
Banking apps Track spending but don't teach why or how to improve Teaches the concepts first, then lets students apply them in simulated scenarios
The Curriculum

Ten modules, all built for campus

Real scenarios from dining halls, campus jobs, financial aid offices, and first apartments.

FAQ

Questions? We've got answers

How much does Stacked cost?

Stacked is completely free during the current beta period for all enrolled UConn students. In the future, Stacked will be offered to universities through an annual per-seat license fee. Students will never pay out of pocket.

How long does each module take?

Each module is designed to be thorough, not rushed. Modules include in-depth lessons, interactive scenarios, quizzes, and assessments to make sure you actually understand the material. You can work through them at your own pace and pick up where you left off.

Do I need any financial background to use Stacked?

Not at all. Stacked was built for students who are starting from zero. Every concept is explained from the ground up with real campus examples. No jargon, no prerequisites.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. Your XP, badges, streaks, and module progress are all saved to your account. Pick up right where you left off anytime.

Can my university see my individual results?

University administrators see aggregate data only: completion rates, average scores, and overall engagement. Your individual answers and progress are private to you.

Will Stacked be available at other universities?

Stacked is currently piloting at UConn. We're actively exploring partnerships with other universities. If your school is interested, reach out through our contact form.
